We follow the same exact Learning Design and learning model that our owners helped create at the original Acton Academy campus.

We have the systems and processes in place to cater for 5 to 18 year olds.
Currently, we are welcoming auditions for ages 6 to 12.

We are set up on a beautiful lifestyle block, based in Dairy Flat on the North Shore of Auckland.

Our learning year runs for approximately 35–40 weeks, depending on the length of each Quest cycle.

Our pricing is tailored and typically lower than traditional private tuition models.

While we deeply respect Maria Montessori’s philosophy and incorporate some of her principles, Acton Academy North Shore is a unique learning environment.

An independent learner is someone who can; research questions, solve problems, admit when they don't know something and figure out a solution when they hit a roadblock (without asking an adult for help), participate in discussions, and strive for mastery.

Running Partners are fellow learners who meet together regularly to set goals and hold each other accountable for meeting those goals.
Running Partners encourage and inspire each other by asking good questions, listening, and providing affirmation.

We believe learning thrives in mixed-age environments where young people can mentor and be mentored. Instead of age-based groupings, learners collaborate across a range of ages, supported by tailored resources that match their individual progress and goals.

We are not trained to serve children with serious learning disabilities.
However, we can discuss your child’s needs in more details to ensure they can be supported with the Learning Design, the processes and systems that are in place.

We believe each of our students will find a passion — something they love and have a gift to do. They will use this gift to serve others and fulfil a need they are passionate about in the world.
This may be by becoming a shoe-shiner who tells stories and makes people's day just by doing their job with love and vigour; it may be by becoming a coach who sees the light in a child’s eyes and guides them to pursue a dream; it may be by becoming a parent who leads their family on a Hero's Journey; it may be becoming an entrepreneur or business leader guided by compassion and integrity; or it may be by becoming an artist or writer who brings beauty to people's lives.

No. Acton Academy North Shore is a private education company offering a full-time, learner-driven environment that partners with families to support and enrich each young person’s unique goals and interests.

Yes. Acton Academy North Shore is not a registered school under the Education and Training Act 2020, each young person enrolled will need to obtain a Certificate of Exemption from the Ministry of Education.
We guide families through this process and provide the necessary documentation and support to make it as smooth as possible.
